Motorola Moto G akhirnya resmi diperkenalkan Motorola Mobility. Smartphone ini hadir dengan harga yang relatif murah namun dibekali spesifikasi yang tidak kalah dengan smartphone kelas menengah yang lain. Smartphone ini mengusung layar 4.5 inci dengan resolusi 720 x 1280 yang terlindungi lapisan Gorilla Glass 3.Mengikuti trend smartphone warna-warni, Moto G hadir dengan beberapa pilihan warna menarik, meliputi : hitam, putih, merah, kuning, biru tua, dan biru muda.

Untuk mendukung performa, Moto G dibekali prosesor quad core Snapdragon 400 1.2Ghz dengan RAM 1GB. Urusan kamera, smartphone ini dibekali kamera 5MP di bagian belakang dan 1.3MP di depan. Sedangkan masalah sumber tenaga, Motorola membekali Moto G dengan baterai berkapasitas 2070mAh yang diklaim mampu bertahan hingga 24 jam.

Meskipun dibekali Android Jelly Bean 4.3, Motorola Mobility menjanjikan ketersediaan update ke Android KitKat 4.4.
